The Lord is so good! Josh has been working on getting his truck ready to sell for over two weeks now. We put it in the paper yesterday, and didn't even have a chance to put it up by the road like we usually do due to all the rain we've been having. A guy called about it first thing Thursday morning, came out and looked at it at 5:30, and bought it this morning! We wanted to get $8,500 for it so we listed it at $8,900. He offered $8,500, and we took it. :D It's sad to part with it since it was a really nice, reliable truck, but we're determined to get out of debt and stay out, and we're willing to do pretty much whatever it takes to do it.
We didn't really think we were living outside of our means until we cut up our credit cards. We always paid them off every month, but we both relied on them more than we realized. About the same time that we cut up our cards, Josh was convicted about being home more for the kids and I, so we got a major double whammy. Why is it that God is much more trustworthy than a credit card, and yet it's so much more difficult to trust Him? We're learning to though, and it is thrilling to see how He works. Dave Ramsey's Total Money Makeover really works, but it's by no means easy.
Not than anybody cares, but I was excited again so I just had to share! LOL

That IS very exciting!! I'll be praying for you that you will be able to use it on your debts and STAY FOCUSED!! That's Johnny's new 'thing'. Stay focused Amy, we have things that need to be taken care of first! So, we're right there with ya.
That's the plan. You probably won't be so excited about us staying focused when we tell you that we probably won't be able to afford going out there for Labor Day. We're sure going to try, but......Thanks for the prayers. We need them and appreciate them very much. Right back atcha!
Actually, I wasn't really expecting you all to come. Seeing as how it hasn't happened yet, I didn't see any reason why it would this year. Tell Josh's family HI for us when you see them. LOL
