Nearly every family in our church is going through very difficult times. The problems are as varied as the people themselves, but as Bro. Abrahams said last night, "Praise God that He's still on the throne"!
It's glaringly obvious that our church is under attack, but it's wonderfully exciting to be a part of the things that are taking place there! One dear lady was thrilled to say that she had led her first soul to Christ last night. How exciting is that??? Indeed, people are getting saved left and right. I've never been in a church like ours, and unfortunately, I've been in a lot of churches. Satan must really consider us a threat; however, greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world.
Oh, the tears that have been shed in the last month over one lost lamb. And the tears contiue as she sinks deeper and deeper into the devil's trap. Grieving is a difficult process, but it's particularly hard when there is no closure as there most often is in a death. This is as real as death though, and very much like living a nightmare. Especially for the sweet family that is left behind. What grace is being shown through this family at this time. Such grace that otherwise God wouldn't be getting the glory for! One can't help but wonder when it will end, and what the disatrous results will be, but we're keeping faith in the promise that God will give us "beauty for ashes".
In a recent post I enclosed a poem that said, "And though my humbling wouldn't be my decision it's here Your glory shines so bright". How true.
God is near. He is real. And it will be worth it all when we see Jesus!

As one of those members who seem to be under the fire of discouragment, I do believe that Satan is real, and always has been. I think that we are about to grow as a church. The last time so many attacks came was within the year before we moved into our building. Strap yourself to the wreckage and make sure your seat is in the upright position, we should be in for quite a ride!
