My Mother-In-Love

It never ceases to amaze me how God works. How He prepares us for what He has for us without our even knowing it. It is really quite effortless and fun when you don't know in advance what you're preparing for. As far as you know, you're just pursuing interests, and enjoying free time. I'm so thankful for all the information God has dropped into our laps for this particular season of our lives.

Just before we left to go on vacation, Connie found out for sure that she has breast cancer. Her mother died of breast cancer about 15 years ago, so I think Connie has been anticipating it happening to her. She mentioned thinking she might have it when they came out to visit the beginning of July, but she didn't get up the nerve to go in for a mammogram until August 24th. They found a lump, and decided to do a biopsy to determine malignancy. In the meantime, Josh and I were brushing up on all that we knew about cancer, and learning more in the process. Regretfully, the day she went in for the biopsy we learned that it's best to leave the cancer alone as any disturbance to the tissue releases cancer cells into the body that attach to other organs.

Being so emotionally involved, it was difficult for them to make the necessary decisions based on the information they had. So, Josh and I left early for our vacation so that we could spend some time helping them as much as possible.

Connie understands the power of natural healing, and that's always been her desired way of treating everything. As we all know though, dealing with medical doctors and their skepticism can be intimidating. After the biopsy, it was recommended that they surgically remove the lump or do a complete mastectomy. When we arrived they were in the process of deciding which surgery to choose.

Praise the Lord, both Ron and Connie we receptive to what we had to say, and without hesitation agreed with the course of action we prayerfully believed she should take.

No surgery, no chemotherapy, and definitely no radiation.

The human body is a magnificent thing, and the laws that God has established are as true today as ever. You reap what you sow. The body was created to be self-healing, but it can only function as created with proper nutrition, and all the other elements of health that God intended for it to thrive optimally.

In every circumstance and situation the first thing we need to remember is that God is sovereign. Without faith it is impossible to please Him, and He allows difficulty into our lives so that He can comfort us and show Himself sufficient in all things.

With all this in mind we prayed for clear direction and wisdom. Shortly after we arrived, Connie was telling me about a natural doctor that had been recommended to her three times in the last two days by various people. While we were there, two more people called and recommended him. She was still uncertain saying that all the people that she had ever known that had tried to treat cancer naturally had died. I gently reminded her that just because that was her experience, it didn't make it generally true. There are so many aspects of natural treatment, and I'm convinced the absolute most important one is having a positive mental attitude and outlook. Unfortunately, we can't go to those who lost the battle to ask where they believe they went wrong. There are just too many unknown variables involved to make such assumptions. So she wanted to seek out, and talk to people who had survived cancer naturally. The Lord in His goodness allowed this to happen that very day.

They were able to see the natural doctor right away while we were in Tennessee on September 6th. What he found was frightening, but not hopeless. Using natural, and to me amazing, techniques he determined that she has pancreatic, lung, bowel, colon, and large intestine cancer in addition to breast cancer. That's half of her organs.

They bought a Rife machine which uses high frequency to break up the cancer cells much the same as a soprano hitting a high note causes glass to break. The smaller particles are then flushed out of the body using lots of water, a pure diet, enemas, and high quality nutritional supplements. Cancer cannot thrive in an acidic environment so everything she ingests has to lend itself to alkalinity. You would probably be surprised at the difficulty of maintaining this, but it is doable.

She is treating herself naturally and comfortably at home, and she will go back once a month for check-ups, and make further decisions based on the progress, or lack thereof. She is often asked how she feels, and she always replies that basically if she didn't know she has cancer, she would never know she has cancer. She's just more tired than usual, especially with the treatments she is receiving. But she is not sick. Praise the Lord. She will probably get detox symptoms, but hopefully they will be minor, and short-lived. Anything is better than the negative lifelong effects of chemotherapy and radiation at this point. She has every reason to be optimistic; if she lives she will be one more testimony of natural healing, and if she doesn't she gets to go to heaven! For sure! It really is a win-win situation. She has such a sweet attitude, and it was a blessing to be there with them on the way to and from Tennessee.

So please pray for them when you think of it. Especially for Ron and David. She needs her environment to be as peaceful and positive as possible. All this entails a major life-style change, and Connie needs all the support she can get.

This has encouraged us to be more proactive against cancer, and all illness in general. Every bite counts, stay active and be positive! There's nothing like a major reality check such as this to get you back on your toes.
