Windermere Cabin

The Lord provided the means for our Pastor and his family to finally take a much needed vacation. They haven't had one in over nine years of ministry. Following are some pictures of what they are enjoying right now.

Mrs. Benton called us on Saturday night. She was so excited about the house and said that the pictures presented here don't do it justice. There are two waterfront bedrooms, each with its own deck, and a third with bunk beds.

There are floor to ceiling windows in the rooms facing the ocean. She said that when they were driving on Saturday looking around, she purposely looked to see if there were any other homes so close to the water, and she didn't see another one. From this room, sitting down, it feels like the house is right on top of the water. Right up close to the window you can see the rocks leading down to the beach.

The telescope is for whale watching in addition to looking at the stars. There are two seagulls that have made the Windermere Channel House beach their home, and Mrs Benton said that they are very entertaining to watch, too. :) Floor-to-ceiling windows invite the serene, natural setting indoors to the open living room, kitchen and dining room.

The view is serene from the kitchen due to the lush vegetation.

The master bedroom has a sitting area in the master bath, walk-in shower and private deck. They were most impressed with all of the bedrooms. Each bed has a luxuriously soft and "cushy" down comforter. They have come in handy along with the "quaint" wood burning stove since they are experiencing record setting lows for this time of year.

The most breathtaking thing about this house are the many decks that give their own unique view of the ocean. This is the deck off the master bedroom.

This is the deck off the guest bedroom.

The 500 square foot side deck has a stainless gas BBQ and outdoor eating area adjacent to the kitchen.

This is the view sitting down from the living room that I was talking about.

This path leads down to their section of beach. They can catch fish in the front yard. Fishing, crabbing and shrimping gear are provided. Off the detached garage is a bonus room with exercise equipment. At the end of a quiet road, this home also provides easy access to deep water waterfront. There is also a DVD player, kids games, a stereo system, and ping pong table.

Makes you wish you were there, doesn't it?

Looks absolutely wonderful. I'm really glad it's them and not me there. TOO COLD! I know they are glad it's them and not me too!
