If you think of it, please pray for us.

We are in the process of taking in an 18 yr. old girl (Rose) from our church. I can't share details except to say that she is a good girl who needs a home right now. Her name is Rose, and she is a sweetheart. Our goal in taking her in is to teach her the things that she needs to know to be independent. (NOT to get married, mind you :)) In our household, she will have ample opportunity to learn to cook, clean, do laundry, and take care of herself and others. There's never a shortage of work with five children to care for and...well, you know all about that....;) LOL

We will treat her with the same respect and care as AliaBeth and expect her to follow the same rules we would lay down for Alia, too. It will be a major culture shock for her. MAJOR. But we're willing to take it on, if that's what God wants.

We should know for sure by tomorrow what her decision is. She literally has no where else to go, but it's still going to be a tough decision to make. She's choosing between complete and total freedom to do whatever she wants whenever she wants, and a very structured environment with restrictions on almost everything that she does with her time right now. We could use all the prayers we can get.

As you know, I already have my hands more than full, so doing this will have to be by God's grace ALONE. I'm once again claiming the promise "faithful is He that calleth you, who also will do it." Please pray that if this isn't God's will for Rose and our family that He will open the door for her to go someplace else that would be perfectly suited for her.
