It snowed! A lot. =-)
What a glorious sight this was to wake up to yesterday morning! We have always preferred to celebrate a simple kind of Christmas, and I'm so grateful for how abundantly the Lord gives us the desires of our hearts. December has always been a busy month at church for us, and this year is no exception. We are thankful for the privilege to serve.
But in between the busy times God has given us this cozy, secluded cabin in the woods to escape to and enjoy. In addition to that, He enables us to enjoy it in ways that we never would have expected. It's so very quiet and breathtakingly beautiful; the perfect setting for just being still and knowing that He is God. It's peaceful, and we couldn't be more thankful that He brought us here, and for the too often overlooked gifts that He gives.
Even Snickers is oh, so happy!
Merry Christmas!

Sherri, It looks so beautiful. We don't have much snow here but we are into the sub zero weather at night and in the morning. Hope this finds all of you doing well. All is good here. Please give all the children my love.

I'm glad that you got the snow that you were wanting. Is it super cold there, or just white? It's been consistantly below zero here and although I love the snow, we really can't enjoy it much because it's so cold. The kids would much rather be playing in it like Snickers is than staring at it out the window!
